Rose Websites is a service of Rose Training Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 55 605 893 810), based in Brisbane, Australia (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you create an account and build a site with us we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, the words and photos you give us for your website, and your domain and billing preferences. If you register a domain under your own ABN we collect your ABN and registered entity details.

When couples enquire through a celebrant’s website, we hold that enquiry (names, contact details, event details and messages) on the celebrant’s behalf, so the celebrant can reply and manage their bookings. We do not use couples’ details for our own marketing.

We also collect simple usage information: page view counts on live celebrant sites (no visitor profiles, no advertising trackers), Google Analytics on our own site (rosewebsites.com.au) so we can see how people find and use Rose Websites, and records of the emails and texts our platform sends.

How we use it

To build, host and support your website; to register and connect domains; to take payments; to send the service messages the product depends on (your site is ready, a couple enquired, a payment failed); and, with a working unsubscribe in every one, occasional marketing emails about your own site and our services.

Who touches it on our behalf

We use trusted providers to run the service: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database and secure storage), Stripe (payments; your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers), Synergy Wholesale (domain registration), Resend (email delivery), ClickSend (text messages), Klaviyo (marketing emails) and Google Analytics (usage statistics for our own site). Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by row-level security, and card numbers are never stored by us. If you cancel, your site content is kept so you can return; you can ask us to delete it at any time. Lapsed free previews are kept for about a month, then cleared.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us via the contact page. If you believe we have mishandled your information you can complain to us first, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if we do not resolve it.

Cookies

On our own site (rosewebsites.com.au) we use the cookies needed to keep you signed in, plus Google Analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, how people find and use Rose Websites. No advertising cookies, and we never sell your information. Celebrant websites carry no Google Analytics and no advertising trackers at all.
