Rose Websites is a service of Rose Training Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 55 605 893 810), Brisbane, Australia. By creating an account or paying for the service you agree to these terms.

What the service is

We design, build and host websites for marriage celebrants. You give us your words and photos; we craft them into a site on a design from our catalogue, host it, and give you a dashboard to edit it and manage enquiries.

Your free preview

Building a site is free. Your finished site is private for seven days while you decide. If you do not lock it in, the design returns to our catalogue for other celebrants and your words and photos are kept for about a month in case you come back.

The one-of-one design promise

When you pay the one-time design fee, that design is taken off the market permanently. No other celebrant can ever buy it. The design itself remains our intellectual property, licensed exclusively to you for your site; the words and photos you supply remain yours.

Domains

Unless you bring your own domain, we register your chosen .com.au for you (in your name if you provide an ABN, otherwise in ours with a free transfer to you whenever you ask). Domain registrations are subject to auDA rules and renewals are billed yearly. If you bring your own domain, connecting its DNS is your responsibility, with our instructions and help.

Hosting and money

Hosting is $0 a month until the day you choose to go live, then billed by subscription (monthly or yearly) via Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your dashboard: you keep what you have paid for until the end of the period, then your site goes offline. Your content and domain stay yours, and coming back is one click. The design fee is one-time and, because the design is removed from sale for good, is generally not refundable once your purchase completes. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Playing fair

Your site must be for your celebrancy business and must not contain unlawful, misleading or infringing content. We can suspend a site that breaks this rule, and we will always talk to you first if we can.

Your celebrant registration

You are responsible for holding every registration, authorisation and qualification the law requires before you advertise or offer your services. Marriage celebrants in Australia must be registered with the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department, which states:

“You must not advertise your services or accept a notice of intended marriage or solemnise marriage ceremonies until you have been notified by the Registrar of Marriage Celebrants that you have been registered as a marriage celebrant.”Attorney-General’s Department, Become a marriage celebrant.

Whether you use your Rose Websites site to advertise, take enquiries or offer ceremonies is your decision and your responsibility. We do not verify your registration status, and we are not responsible for any breach, penalty or infringement that results from you advertising or offering your services before you are registered or otherwise authorised. Keep your site private until the Registrar has notified you that you are registered.

Our promises and limits

We work hard to keep sites fast, secure and online, but no host can promise zero interruptions. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the fees you paid for the affected period. Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.
